The Project:

The project was to create a commercial from Ambry Genetics that would be used in conjunction with Ion Torrent for the promotion of the new sequencing machine from Ion Torrent. This was the first partnership of this kind in the genetics community, now a few years later it is common place. I wanted to create something that used both nostalgia and humor, I played off the film ‘Say Anything” and Ambry’s love of science to create a quirky little commercial. The spot became major story in the genetics community with key articles appearing on GenomeWeb, GenNews, In Sequence and Forbes. The spot resulted in 100K+ social shares reaching more than 100MM people.
